This time round, Zest brings a fabulous Fisherman Fridays for seafood lovers! Every Friday night is Fisherman’s Night where Chef Ken and team whip up a storm with a plethora of luscious seafood to tempt its customers. The seafood haven showcases every imaginable variety from international to local seafood and preparation ranges from gourmet western to our local delights. Let’s hit the road to check out what Fisherman Fridays is all about… J
Appetizer bar has a series of salads, fresh chilled aphrodisiac shellfish and crustaceans, small plates of hors d’oeuvres, soups and bread. I spied fresh Chilled Oysters on Ice, Boiled Prawns, Seafood Terrine, Clam salad, Salmon Gravlax, Mango Crab Salad, Baby Octopus and more.
A lovely selection of Cheese Platter is also available for cheese connoisseurs.
The showstopper is the Grill Station where an abundance of seafood is proudly displayed to grab your attention!
I lost count on the varieties of fish available that night. Prawns, clams, crabs, squids, scallops and mussels are only some of the seafood spread to name. One can lavishly enjoy the grilled seafood with the kitchen’s sauces with over 15 types of sauces from Garlic Butter, Black Pepper, Cajun to Sambal, Kicap Manis, Asam and so much more. I enjoyed their Baked Scallops, Grilled Squid, Grilled Prawns and the assortment of Grilled Fish thoroughly despite the cholesterol guilt nagging in the back of my mind! J
Can’t decide on the available plates of seafood? Pick out what you would like and have the chef cook to your preferences at the kitchen station!!
There is also a pasta station, noodle station, Indian cuisine station and local cuisine station. Check out Fish Head Curry, Tandoori Prawns, Udang Goreng Kunyit, Briyani Rice, Salted Egg Yolk Crab and so much more to entice your local taste bud.
Make sure to save some rooms for desserts as the dessert station is filled with loads of gorgeous looking desserts from international cakes, cookies, and puddings to local kuihs, ice creams, ice kacang and candies. The cakes are intricately decorated with lots of pulled sugars, fondants and fruits.

This is one seafood buffet targeted for serious seafood lovers! The seafood spread is lavish and fresh with top-notch quality. Choices are impeccable and there is just about everything to cater to everyone’s flavors. Apart from sumptuous buffet feast with a different theme each day, there is also a tantalizing a la carte menu available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch!
