Mid Autumn Mooncake at Tao Cuisine, Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur


EXQUISITELY HANDMADE AND FRESHLY BAKED MOONCAKES FOR MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL CELEBRATION

Award winning Tao Cuisine at Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur is back this year to celebrate the blooming beauty of Mid-Autumn harvest with a list of its delicious handmade mooncakes crafted by dim sum Chef Lo Tion Sion. Tao Cuisine, a restaurant that embody the epitome of modern Chinese cuisine, is set in a glamourous and contemporary ambiance that truly impress the current generation’s fine dining gourmands.



Taking on the traditional-meets-modern approach, Chef Lo has crafted old time favorites and new modern flavours handmade individually. These luscious mooncakes are packed in elegant gift boxes encased by a pretty butterfly motif, all set in an exquisite Oriental themed-cut box in pale gold and cream.


Holding center stage this year is Tao’s new flavor of Scarlet Baked Snow Skin with Pandan Salted Egg Bean Paste and Beetroot Powder, a truly unique and scrumptious mooncake with an aromatic soy flavour. The pretty marbled skin made the mooncake truly too pretty to be savored. Another new flavour of this season is the Bamboo Charcoal Skin with Assorted Nut Paste, a fusion of traditional assorted nuts encased in modern black charcoal.



Other Baked Mooncakes available includes White Lotus Paste with Doubled Salted Egg Yolks and Almond Nuts, While Lotus Paste with Single Salted Egg Yolk and Almond Nuts and Pure White Lotus. Baked Mooncakes are priced from RM28 to RM32 per piece.



The Mini Snow Skin Mooncakes offers 6 gorgeous flavours of petit mooncakes that are beautifully vibrant at sight. Taking on the modern infusion of new, enriching ingredients, the six flavours are Mini “Red Prawn” Durian with Egg Cream, Mini Chestnut Paste with Diced Hawthorn and Pineapple Paste, Mini Tiramisu Paste with Assorted Honey Nuts, Mini Peanut Butter Snow Skin with Japanese Purple Potato Paste and Yam Omachi, Mini Yam and White Skin with Pumpkin and Green Tea Paste and Mini Pandan Coconut Floss Paste and Single Salted Egg Yolk.


Each mini snow skin has its own beautiful unique flavours, all cleverly balanced through its ingredients. The Mini Snow Skin Mooncakes are priced from RM20 to RM25 per piece and are sold at 6pcs per box or a la carte.
