Who will reign supreme in the Young Chef Competition this Mother’s Day? J
Last weekend, I was invited to Eastin Hotel’s Young Chef Competition at Swez Brasserie for a glimpse of some kiddie fun! Cooks and chefs start early nowadays and parents are now encouraging their young ones to pursue cooking after the infamous Junior Masterchef Australia has taken the world by storm. One will be amazed at what the little ones can do when they set their mind to it… J
For those who missed this event last weekend, there is still the coming weekend, 12th and 13th May, to have your little ones join the event at Swez Brasserie at Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya while the adults indulge in a sumptuous Hi-Tea buffet. Check out the details on how and where to sign up for the competition at the end of this post. There are two categories by age group for the competition. Your young ones could win up to RM500 cash, Eastin Hotel Stay and F&B Vouchers and Cooking Workshop Passes!
It is such endearing to see all the little chefs gathered at their allocated place waiting patiently for the event to start! The first category of Kinder Cooks aged from 3 to 6 years old was setup to let their creative juices went wild in Fun with Pancakes!! J
The youngest in the group was a three-year old who walked away with 2nd Prize! For a three-year old, the little one was so careful and neat in decorating his pancakes. First prize went to a boy got creative at giving his pancake an uber cute face while the third prize decorated the whole plate with teddy bear and cute cutouts of pancakes.
The second category of Junior Chefs aged between 7 to 11 years old had fun in the Mama Mia Mama Pizza where they had to make their own pizza for their moms! Some got really creative in churning out these cheesy delights where a crown was carefully cut out from ham to dress the pizza… J
Although I wasn’t participating in the event, it was just a lovely moment to see the faces on the kids. Some of them really took this seriously while others had loads of fun! Parents were all smiles and one can certainly see the priceless proud moments of the mommies and daddies when their child finished the competition. Loads of merriment sounded throughout the restaurant while everyone enjoyed the food and entertainment of the event. The most important thing is that everyone from the adults to the little ones is having a fabulous time!
The 3 winners of each round get to participate in the Finals on Mother’s Day this 13th May.
