Last week, I had the honored of an invitation to preview the launch of Legend, The New Fragrance by Montblanc at Pavilion, downtown
. Kuala Lumpur
From the moment I set my eyes on the event, every detail screamed elegance and prestige from its black and white theme to the infamous guest list and artists.
Montblanc has always been in tune with time, continuing to conquer new ground, creating ever more sophisticated objects of desire, synonymous with excellence. Its name is a signature, its logo a hallmark, the brand a world famous icon. Now, Montblanc has reinvented its unique brand nature and personality again, in a new fragrance for men.
Legend was created by Olivier Pescheux dedicated to inspiring men who are courageous and self confidence. The scent denotes striking and masculine men who seek style and elegance in every way!
The Legend Man
A desirable man in the form of Simon Clark! The Legend man does not allow himself to be described but prefers subtlety to overt explanation. Legend men are full of confident and poised, retained rather than talkative and mysterious! His taste for authentic and love for passion and pleasure can be seen in top British model Simon Clark and the campaign is photographed by German Peter Lindbergh.
Designed in a black and silver sleek casing, the sleek bottle with a sensual curve has a voluptuous smoothness, echoing the iconic black Meisterstück writing instrument in the hand.
The infamous Montblanc star is embossed in the top of the lid and also on the bottle itself to signify its hallmark. The design shouts sleek and masculine with an elegant outlook that represents the fragrance to a tee!
First notes are light with Lavender as the essential ingredient in the fougere construction. Bergamot and Litsea Cubeba, or ‘exotic verbena’ provides extreme freshness to this fragrance.
Middle notes are more intense with Evernyl tha contributes to the warm sensuality and depth of Legend. Pomarose molecules (dried fruit notes), whose facets share a balance between a rose and an apple, combined with Geranium gives Legend a modern edge!
Coupled with Tonka Bean and a touch of Sandalwood, the final impression of Legend is a very sensual and irresistible yet profound individual who could live up to its name of Legend.

The whole event was certainly planned to perfection! We had lovely cocktails and canapés through the event. The launch was also officiated by Montblanc representive from France, Marie whose beautiful accent impressed many of us! This was certainly an event to remember…
