ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Media Launch: Transforming The World!

Are you ready for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer?

Honored to be attending the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Media Launch, I was excited to be able to catch the highly anticipated official release of the revolutionary ASUS Tablet at GCS Signature, The Gardens.

ASUS is proud to present the first tablet with an expandable keyboard dock on Android 3.0 ‘Honeycomb’ OS.

The design is sleek and only weighs a mere 680g (Pad only). Ultra thin and stylish, one can choose to use the pad mode or the notebook mode.

Why the Eee Pad Transformer?

With "Eee is Me" in mind, ASUS engineers and designers set out to develop an Eee Pad range for everyone. It was designed to bridge the gap and provide both a core tablet experience AND the notebook experience users are familiar with.

ASUS has aimed to provide its customers with two crucial assets: choice and freedom. The Transformer can be used tablet only or with keyboard and tablet together either. This extends to purchasing the product too: the tablet or both keyboard and tablet are available to be purchased together or the keyboard can be bought separately at a later date. The keyboard is also more than just a token extra too; it provides 68 per cent more battery life, a track pad for mouse support, an SDHC port and two USB ports as well.

First up, we had a speech by Mr. Stanley Chen, ASUS System Country Manager.

During a press release conference in Kuala Lumpur, ASUS System Country Manager, Stanley Chen called the launch the most historical moment in the tablet PC market.  Echoing the slogan of “My Multiple Lifestyle, I decide”, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is the best tablet choice for users looking for both media consumption and mobile productivity. “The Eee Pad Transformer is much more than another tablet. It is a new milestone for the Android device for the market. We are offering superior features with competitive pricing,” said Stanley who also demonstrated some of the key features on the Eee Pad Transformer.

“We are extremely thrilled as the distributor in Malaysia to bring the Eee Pad Transformer to our end users. I strongly believe it is a-must-have tablet and will perform very well in Malaysia”, said JH Soong, Executive Director of ECS Astar.

Mr HP Li, Product Manager, presented a product demo with Eee Pad Transformer.

10 Finger multi-touch Input. It has the external full Qwerty keyboard on the dock and an internal keyboard in the touch pad. The keyboard uses natural gestures and is suitable for either left-handed or right-handed users.

16 Hours of Battery Life
Battery life is increased up to 16 hours* with the Eee Station (keyboard) docked. It can be charged through the keyboard or tablet! Like what the product manager said, one can basically watch at least five movies at one time.

USB Micro SD Card
The QWERTY keyboard docking station offers two USB slots and SD card reader while other pads doesn’t.

178 Degree Viewing Angle
The IPS panel is made for wider viewing angles to be shared with family and friends. This also produces 50% more accurate color range and much deeper black levels.

Dual Cameras
With both front 1.2MP and rear 5MP cameras, you can video conference and talk to your friends or family face to face and also show them where you are too! The 5MP camera gives more detailed photos and video recording.

Adobe Flash 10.2

HDMI Connectivity
One of the very first tablets to reach the market with NVIDIA® Tegra™ 2 dual-core processor, the Transformer browses the web at blazing speeds, providing a snappier response time and better performance when multi-tasking. Sporting a HDMI 1.3a port, the Transformer can connect to a HDTV and 5.1 surround sound system, delivering cutting edge graphics and an enhanced multimedia experience we have never seen before.
