An opulent setting at the non smoking zone, Cristallo di Luna is currently showcasing ‘A Bubbly Lobster-licious Affair’ Promotion from now till June 2011.
Cristallo di Luna boasts of a glittering ambience with its dazzling rows of crystal chandeliers. I was mesmerized by the crystals that were glamorously suspended in the air by almost invisible wires.
The ambience at Cristallo di Luna was a class of its own. This is the place to bring your courtship to dine in grandeur. One will certainly feel pampered and romanticized with the magnificent view and the cuisine.
Bollinger Special Cuvee NV Champagne is renowned as the ‘king’ of non-vintage champagnes. The champagne consists of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier. With a unique selling point of a collection of 600,000 magnums of Grands and Premiers crus fermented in barrels, bottled with natural corks, kept for 5 to 15 years or longer, Bollinger certainly exhibits the art of consistency in their champagnes.
A magnificent golden hue on the eye exhibits the proof of fine maturity and very fine bubbles. After sampling the bubbly, I found the aroma intricate with a fruity undertone and a lovely smoothness on the tongue. The champagne has a delicate sensation from the fruits, nuts and spices which I found to be very addictive. Special
is by essence an ideal aperitif wine, and is a fine companion to seafood and white meat. For those who appreciate quality things in life, this champagne will certainly seize your heart! Cuvee NV

We also enjoyed a Luna signature cocktail of dark rum, blue
Curacao, Lychee liqueur and Cointreau shaken with Longan syrup, garnished with longan! Blue to reflect the magnificent pool in the sky at their Luna Bar.
Elegantly presented in Margarita glass, the Chef’s Salad was light as a palate starter. Lightly dressed greens in tangy lemon vinaigrette with feta cheese, grilled chicken slices and baby tomatoes, the salad was unpretentious and delicate. The bread served deserves a special mentioned as it was deliciously warm and comforting.
The chef certainly spared no expense in creating this luscious Prawn Bisque. Velvety bisque of tomato simmered with lots of prawns and doused with a generous splash of cognac and cream was buttery smooth with each mouthful. Recommended to be taken in small portions due to its richness and intense flavor.
Live Boston Lobster who had the pleasure of being exclusively flown in for the event!
One of the infamous and classic preparations of exclusively flown in Boston Lobster, Cristallo di Luna’s version of Lobster Thermidor was a luxury to behold. Sautéed pieces of lobster, finished with a gratinée of velvety béchamel and cheese sauce, our lobsters were expertly executed. Cooked perfectly, the lobster meat was tender and wrapped with a luscious sauce. We had to do justice to the lobster by licking it clean! J
Stir Fried Lobster with Thai Basil won many hearts that night with its Thai influence. Bold flavors of tender pieces of lobsters were deliciously perfectly. This one went well with the fluffy Thai Fried Rice. I love the aroma of the Thai basil in the dish. I definitely want more of this…

The World is Not Enough featuring Angus New York Striploin, New Zealand Lamb Rack and Grilled Garoupa. A pleasant dish that combines the best of surf and turf where guests can sample three of Cristallo’s main dishes. Mimicking 007 agent’s renowned travels, the dish represents the best from each part of the world!
My piece of Grilled Angus New York Striploin was palatable. Lightly pink, the steak was better enhanced with the brown gravy. My only gripe is steak should not be cut too thin for a more tender texture and moistness.
Grilled New Zealand Lamb Rack was my favorite among the three mains with my chop being nicely charred and flavored with
Dijon mustard and herbs. My piece of lamb rack was tender and I love the tasty bits of fats! Provence
This is my least favorite as the Grilled Garoupa was bland. I wish there was more lemon butter sauce on this. This could also be that the fish was cold by sitting too long before serving which is easily remedied.
Another classic dessert of Peach Melba featuring a big scoop of perfumed vanilla ice cream with peach slices. A very lovely ending to our meal as the coldness of the creamy vanilla ice cream was refreshing to my palate. Good quality vanilla ice cream really enhances the whole experience and went well with our bubbly!

I didn’t want the affair to end… certainly not with a License to Drink! Service was excellent and food was lovely. The ambience alone was worth the traffic and coupled with the generous Bollinger Promotion and Lobster Feast, this is simply irresistible! The perfect place to dine under the stars… J
