Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur reveals its latest promotion for the coming fasting month with ‘Semarak Rasa’ Buffet at their all-day dining Melting Pot Café, available from 17 May until 14 June, 2018. Filled with a kaleidoscope of flavours and colours of classic kampung dishes and signature favorites, it’s a feast to break fast with much togetherness in the holy month.

Featuring at least 150 dishes each night, the Semarak Rasa is highlights dishes from Chef Dzulkarnain Salleh, Chef Rogayah Sharif and Chef Azizah Abdul Malik. From family handed down recipes of kampung delights to international favorites, this iftar feast is more than just a meal but rather an ode to the tradition of flavours from the many kampungs on our shore.

After a long day of fasting, the Sup Gearbox dengan Tulang Rawan and Perut and Bubur Lambuk are the perfect dishes to warm up the tummy. Rich with beefy broth, well spiced up, enjoy the luscious bone marrow goodness as well as the tender pieces of beef, tripe and rib.

The Bubur Lambuk is deliciously soothing with delicate savory flavours.

The traditional Kambing Panggang dengan Nasi Briyani is another highlight of the buffet. Whole lamb seasoned with house special recipe and slow roasted till tender and succulent. Smother the lamb in gravy of your choice and enjoy it with the fluffy spiced Nasi Briyani.

At a corner of the open kitchen, chefs are busy frying up fresh batches of Ketam Goreng Berempah, Lala Goreng Berlada and Udang Galah Goreng Berempah. The spice batter is superb, enhancing the flavours of the seafood. Lip-smacking yum!

From the hot warmers, kampung dishes such as Ekor Asam Pedas Bunga Kantan, Siput Sedut Daun Selasih, Paru Goreng Berlado, Gulai Urant Lembu Berserai, Sambal Udang Tempoyak Kambing Masala, Daging Dendeng Kering Berlado, Ayam Lemak Pucuk Ubi, Sambal Kepah Minang, Daging Masak Kucap, Pucuk Manis dengan Keledek, Kailan Goreng Cili & Ikan Masin and more awaits.

Another highlight of the buffet is this luscious and fiery Kari Kepala Ikan.

There’s also a choice of bread such as Capati with Sambal Sardine, Roti John and Murtabak Ayam for those who prefer them over rice. These are also freshly made by the chefs in small batches to ensure its hot and fresh.

The Pembuka Selera list is a myriad of colours and flavours with Kerabu Udang Thai, Kerabu Pucuk Ubi, Kerabu Hati Ayam, Kerabu Limau Bali, Kerabu Isi Kerang, Kerabu Ayam Berkerisik and Kerabu Ikan Telur.

Assorted crackers from Kerepek Ikan, Kerepek Udang, Kerepek Pisang, Kerepek Ubi Pedas, Kerepek Ubi and Papadom are set nicely with Jeruk Buah Buahan.

Buah Kurma, Dried Figs and Dried Apricot are perfect nibbles…

Other international dishes include a seafood masterpiece showcasing Seafood on Ice with Green Shell Mussels, Fresh Flower Crab and Tiger Prawns. Tuck into these seafood with generous squeeze of lemon, thousand island sauce and tobacco.

Piping hot Steamed Dim Sum and Steamed Fish with Ginger will always be a crowd favorite!

A little patience is needed at the Teppanyaki Seafood action station with Prawns, Salmon, Chicken, Beef and Squid. Worth the wait, the seafood are nicely cooked in a buttery soy sauce.

The dessert bar is filled with an array of Aneka Kuih Muih such as Kuih Lapis, Kuih Seri Muka, Kuih Talam, Kuih Talam Keladi, Kuih Keria, Kuih Kaswi, Pulut Inti and more.

Hot sweet broths of Serawa Durian, Bubur Pulut Hitam and Bubur Jagung in claypots are equally tempting. There’s also batches of fried fritters such as Cucur Kodok, Cucur Udang, Cucur Ikan Bilis and Cekodok Pisang.

Other desserts include a pretty Croquembouche, miniature Cakes, Pastries and Puddings as well as Sago Gula Melaka, warm Bread Pudding and fresh fruits.
