CNY 2018 @ Xin Cuisine, Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur



Festive Blossoms of Prosperity Menu


Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur is celebrating this coming New Lunar with flavours of tradition at Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant. Located in the heart of the metropolitan city, Xin Cuisine has already been a favorite hotspot for Chinese cuisine. Locals flock here for one of the best dim sums in town at the restaurant.


This festive season, indulge on Xin Cuisine Blossoms of Prosperity festive dishes and set menus available from 8 January to 2 March, 2018. As the restaurant is a popular spot for dinning, make sure to call in for reservations in advance, especially if your dining party is big.


Xin Cuisine is offering 6 varieties of yee sang this year, ranging from premium abalone to salmon, soft shell crab, baby octopus, jellyfish and even a vegetarian snow pear yee sang. The Prosperity Yee Sang is priced from RM80.00 nett to RM198.00 nett (regular/large).


Our Prosperity Norwegian Salmon Yee Sang comes with an additional order of Snow Pear for RM10. This classic version never fails to please and they are generous with the salmon slices too. The snow pear added a juicy and fruity sweetness to the overall dish.

Poon Choi has been another dish that has now become a staple during this festive season. Xin Cuisine’s Bountiful Fortune Pot is priced at RM388 nett (regular) and RM688 nett (large). Loaded with lots of meat and seafood, this is one dish that befits the festive season for gathering with family and friends to indulge in a large feast together.


Xin Cuisine’s Bountiful Fortune Pot is fully loaded with roasted pork, steamed chicken, roasted duck large prawns, abalone, fish maw, dried oyster, sea cucumber dried scallop, mushrooms, yam, dried braised bean curd sheet, radish and more. This premium one pot meal is perfect to gather everyone to slowly enjoy the layers of deliciously braised ingredients that signify unity together this festive season.


Besides offering the poon choi, one can also order Xin Cuisine’s CNY set menus. There are 3 set menus with various dishes that is priced at RM1,388, RM1,688 and RM2,188nett respectively. Some of the highlights from the set menus are as follows:


Double-Boiled Chicken Soup with Dried Scallop, Wolfberry & Chinese Herbs epitomized the heart and soul of Cantonese cuisine where every meal is never without a nutritious soup to kick off the meal. This one is beautifully soothing and delicious with glorious essence of chicken, dried seafood and delicate notes of Chinese herbs.


The Crispy Roasted Duck with Chinese Herb was a crowd pleaser. Gorgeously lacquered with a glistening crisp skin, the meat was also moist, plump and tender with a delicate note of herbs. Xin Cuisine has always been popular for their roast meats as they have an excellent Hong Kong roast master chef helming the roasts.



Nian Nian You Yue is signify through the highly prized Steamed Loong Fu Pan or Dragon Tiger Grouper with Fresh Fungus and Beancurd Sheet. Steamed to perfection, the fish’s thick flesh was superbly fresh, sweet and divine. The superior soy sauce enhanced the fish well together with crunchy fresh black fungus and soft beancurd sheets.



Taking a healthy twist on the classic waxed meat rice, the Stewed Chinese Sausage with Two Variety of Rice uses a mix of brown red grain rice and white rice and Hong Kong waxed meats. Robust and redolent of a lovely aromatic balance of savory sweetness, the rice is well studded with Chinese sausage, liver wine sausage, waxed duck and waxed bacon. Prices starts from RM45 nett to RM108 nett in small, regular or large.


To end the lovely meal, Xin Cuisine is presenting their signature 3 types of Nian Gao and a sweet Chilled Peach Resin with White Fungus and Red Dates.


The Nian Gao or glutinous rice cake is prepared three ways – Nian Gao with Coconut and Nian Gao with Peanut as well as Crispy Glutinous Sesame Rice Ball with purple sweet potatoes and Nian Gao. This is a dessert not to be missed at Xin Cuisine!


The Chilled Peach Resin with White Fungus and Red Dates was a lovely sweet ending with its healthy ingredients of crunchy white fungus, lotus seeds, peach resin and red dates.
