Cộng Cà Phê @ One Utama

New Outlet with Food Menu

Cộng Cà Phê has just opened its second outlet in One Utama recently, following in pursuit of their successful outlet in NU Sentral. The popular Vietnamese coffee chain has finally opened a bigger outlet where they have added more food menu to their enticing coffee and beverage menu.

Located in the old wing of the mall, Cộng Cà Phê latest outlet is just as attractive as their first outlet. A similar color themed echoed in this outlet as well but this outlet takes on a textile factory while their first takes on a school theme. All Cộng Cà Phê outlets are themed to reflect the childhood memories of its founder, Linh Dung as mentioned by franchise owner Peter Tan.

There are two level dining as well for this outlet. From their retro furniture to groovy wooden tables and chairs converted using refurbished old sewing machine parts to their impressive panel of sewing machines that has withstood the test of time, there’s even a wall of colorful rolls of thread that makes it an Instagramable spot for ardent coffee lovers. Knick knacks and the café’s souvenirs added much charm to the café’s concept of Vietnam’s socialism era.

Cộng Cà Phê @ Nu Sentral

Vietnamese Lifestyle Café Arrives in Kuala Lumpur

It started with the owners visiting Hanoi and they discovered the acclaimed Cộng Cà Phê Vietnamese coffee café. With a staggering 62 café outlets in Vietnam, the Cộng Cà Phê also has ventured its first international outlet in Korea before landing on our shore on 14 November this year.

Cộng Cà Phê started back in 2007 by a local singer as a small coffee place in the old coffee Trieu Viet Vuong street in Hanoi. Concepting the café after the singer’s own yesteryear memories of Vietnamese culture, the café oozes with warmth of a typical Vietnamese home filled with knick-knacks and books. At the same time, the coffee experience offers coffee lovers a time to sip the robust “Phin” style coffee and enjoy a moment of leisure at the café.

Cộng Cà Phê opened its first outlet in Nu Sentral. Located strategically on lower ground, the café seats 36 pax for now with two levels. A minimalist menu with signatures of variations of Vietnamese coffee as well as Western coffees and Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches along with snacks is available for now.

The café also has some Vietnamese inspired souvenirs available for purchase…

Echoing the low seating concept in Vietnam, diners can truly enjoy the culture of the country on the ground level or head up to the regular seating that is flanked by a wall panel filled with books and other trinkets. In fact, the café’s décor, books and ornaments, are literally imported from the origin of the country to ensure its authenticity concept of the coffee chain. Staffs are dressed olive green t-shirts and caps to add to the café’s concept of Vietnam’s socialism era.

An Viet Vietnamese Casual Dining @ Paradigm Mall

Ăn Viet Opens Its Fourth Outlet at Paradigm Mall

No stranger to our dining scene, Ăn Viet has just opened its fourth outlet in Paradigm Mall at PJ. Renowned for serving authentic Vietnamese food, Ăn Viet also acts as a platform to minimize global food wastage.

The new outlet is located next to Tesco in the mall. Beautifully design with lots of natural elements incorporated such as wood works and greens, the dining space is spacious and comfortable. The menu is the same as other outlets but has been updated recently to include some new dishes.

At this outlet, the same concept of diners picking fresh basil from pots of basil applies. There is also a corner where diners can help themselves to the fresh condiments and vegetables to be added to some of the dishes like pho. Diners will also wash their freshly picked basil leaves here with the water and bowls provided.

Slurp on slippery rice noodles with a beautiful spiced up beef or chicken broth with Pho, Vietnam’s national dish.

Aromatic from star anise, cinnamon, sweet onions, the beefy broth is just as good as the chicken broth. Generous slices of tender beef or soft poached chicken slices added much deliciousness to the pho. The topping of fresh herbs and aromatics with some chili and a squeeze of lime juice completed this comfort bowl of noodle.

Savor these miniature Grilled Beef wrapped in Betel Leaf along with Grilled Ground Shrimp Skewer on Sugar Cane as well as Crispy Fried Soft-Shell Crab with Tangy Tamarind Emulsion. These appetizers are sure crowd pleasers.

The Fresh Spring Rolls ‘Neum Cuon’ with Poached Shrimps is a must-try. Lightly chewy soft fresh rice roll skin is filled with lots of fresh greens and herbs with poached prawn. Dip these into the side fish sauce for that classic sweet, savory, spicy and sour flavours that is well-known in Vietnamese cuisine.

Vietnamese cuisine features a variety of crisp and crunchy salads that is easy to enjoy. During this buffet promotion, diners will tuck into Shredded Green Mango & Seafood Salad with Spearmint, Lotus & Roasted Shrimp Salad with Fresh Herbs, Fragrant Pomelo & Prawn Salad, Banana Blossom & Shredded Free Range Chicken Salad, Chili & Lemongrass Marinated Seafood with Lime Dressing, Green Papaya Salad with Semi Dried Beef and Shredded Chicken & Onion, Bean Sprout & Laksa Leave Salad.

There is also classic Vietnamese soups such as Crab Meat & Green Asparagus Soup, Vietnamese Sour Fish Broth with Pineapple & Okra and Free Range Chicken & Mushroom Broth with Lotus Seeds.

Hit the hot buffet warmers for Galangal Braised Fish Filet in Light Caramelized Fish Sauce, Lime Leaves Crusted Chicken Thigh, Five Spiced Prawns with Fresh Dill & Chili, Lemongrass & Chili Stir Fried Beef Tenderloin, Crispy Fried Prawns in Green Orange Sauce, Grilled Duck Breast with Galangal & Tumeric along with Lotus Rice, Stir Fried Seafood Noodles and more.
