Crème De La Crème and The Tokyo Restaurant

The Best of Two Worlds of Dessert

After its continuing success from the Hello Kitty partnership, Crème De La Crème (CDLC) is taking on another brilliant innovative and delicious collaboration with The Tokyo Restaurant (TTR) at Lot 10. It’s the ultimate pairing dessert of CDLC’s famed ice cream with TTR’s signature burnt cheesecake, unifying the best of two worlds of dessert.

The Tokyo Restaurant’s signature Burnt Cheesecake has garnered a dessert groupie from locals as well as visitors. Located in the prestigious Lot 10, The Toyko Restaurant also serves savory menu but its their dessert that commands the most sales daily.

Akito Sakamoto, General Manager of TTR says, “Our cheesecake has such a discerning following that when it came to deciding a trusted partner whom we can work with to design ice creams of the highest standards inspired by our beloved cheese cake, which our clients would also adore, CDLC is the obvious choice, standing head and shoulders above others in the ice cream world.”

When asked about the collaboration with TTR, Lio Lim, managing director of CDLC, enthused, “TTR’s famed Burnt Cheesecake needs no introduction and CDLC has of course shaken up the ice cream world by reinventing the look and taste of ice cream. Combining the best of these two worlds is definitely something to shout about and we couldn’t have found a better partner to recapture the imaginations of ice cream and cheese cake lovers alike!”

That said, CDLC has churned up two artisanal ice creams available at TTR – Burnt Caramel Cheesecake and Tokyo La Crème. Both ice creams will be available at TTR throughout unless specified. Enjoy these on their own or simply have them with TTR’s signature Burnt Cheesecake.

The Burnt Caramel Cheesecake ice cream features a decadent burnt caramel cream with small chunks of TTR’s Burnt Cheesecake. What a treat! The subtle bitter note of burnt caramel enhances the taste of the luscious ice cream while the cheese cake cubes add touches of creamy and cheesy note.

If I must pick one of the two artisanal ice creams from CDLC from this series, the Tokyo La Crème cream cheese ice cream came out as my top pick. There combination of fresh Australian cream cheese in the cream was perfect, making the ice cream utterly divine in every spoonful. Along with TTR Burnt Cheesecake bits, the ice cream was sensational and irresistible!

That said, one simply Must savour the best of both worlds in my books. Order up the plated dessert of a large and delicious scoop of CDLC’s Burnt Caramel ice cream with TTR’s Burnt Cheesecake for the ultimate pleasures. The dessert is jazzed up with hazelnuts and caramel sauce for extra sinfulness.
