Australia’s Finest Regional Australian Products in Malaysia




Foodies will revel at the return of Tasty Australia this week at Isetan KLCC! For the sixth year, Tasty Australia food festival, a collaboration by The Model Cook and Isetan Malaysia, is showcasing a total of 12 new brands with more than 80 products from South Australia and Western Australia.

From 30 August to 11 September 2019, head over to Isetan KLCC to eat and shop for some of The Model Cook’s traditional best selling25 brands from Australia. Most of these new brands is premiering their products in Malaysia as their first country of export.



The official launch of Tasty Australia was held on 3 September and was graced by the attendance of Australian Deputy High Commissioner to Malaysia, Mr. Michael Growder who officiated the event with Mr. Koji Oyama, Director/Managing Director of Isetan Malaysia. Seven founders/directors of the new brands showcased at this year Tasty Australia were present to meet and greet customers and members of the media, bloggers and special guests to share their brand story.

We are indeed proud to be the co-organizer of ‘Tasty Australia’ for six consecutive years. This platform enables us to continue our passion for helping people adopt a healthier lifestyle through food. This year for Tasty Australia, The Model Cook has expanded its footprint into Western Australia’, said Vivien Lee. The Model Cook has been the connecting point to bring GMO-free healthier alternative food from South Australia to Asia since 2012.

Located on the Concourse floor at Isetan KLCC at the event hall, rows after rows of Australian products, with special focus on organic and GMO-free products along with sustainable produce, are available for value buys along with lucky draws with prizes of RM500 gift vouchers, food hampers and Australian souvenir giveaways with purchases. Do look out for the one-hour extra special buys during the ‘Meet the Makers’ hour for extra value buys.


Foodies can expect excellent organic, GMO-free and sustainable products from Australia’s clean, green and safe environment for their food production, responsible farming and sustainable fishing practices. One can also get their hands on luxurious premium products like black Perigord truffle oil and paste, indigenous Western Australia certified organic Jarrah honey, raw Southern Forests honey, gourmet vegan chocolates, high flavonoids ready-to-eat Bravo apple slices and fruit bars, gluten-free kettle-cooked popcorn, gourmet sauces and meal kits.

Mei Yong, Director of Turban Chopsticks who brought us Asian fusion sauces and convenient meal kits.
