Prawn and Dragon Fruit Salad

Sailing off the food journey starts with a light and fresh Prawn and Dragon Fruit Salad. Served prettily in a dragon fruit bowl, this course has chunks of white dragon fruit crowned with blanched prawns and dressed in what seemed to be a thousand island dressing. Ingredients are fairly simple but the overall flavors are flavorful, fresh and fruity.

Double-Boiled Shark’s Fin Soup with Fish Maw & Dry Scallop

A special occasion calls for special precious ingredients. Enjoy the warm golden broth filled with loads of umami essence. The ingredients in the broth added some texture to the goodness. I like broths that exude lots of essence without the classic starchy broth as one can taste the hours of goodness and amounts of ingredients put in to produce the essence.

Special Lamb Rack with Mongolian Sauce

It doesn’t look much but flavors packed a nice punch!  Cooked till extra tender, the lamb pieces are glazed with a peppery and creamy Mongolian sauce. The slight hint of spiciness is really lovely, enriching the flavors of the lamb beautifully. I adored sucking the meat and bones for the delicious sweetness and peppery flavors.

Spicy Prawn with Flower Bun

This dish makes me want to ask for more flower bun! Shelled prawns cooked in a Thai inspired sauce, we were told to sandwich the prawn with the flower bun to enjoy them. The prawns are cooked till firm while the sauce stole the show. It has a myriad of flavor notes ranging from creamy and spicy to piquant and savory. I literally taste the hints of lemongrass and kaffir lime in the sauce. If there weren’t anyone around, I swear I would lick this plate clean…superb! Can I still have more flower buns please?

Fried Rice with Barbeque Chicken & Egg White

Our carbohydrate of the night is a simple fried rice studded with bits of BBQ chicken and vegetables. Egg white is used only to give this a littler flavor.

Chilled Mango Sago with Ice Cream

Dessert is another refreshing touch. Chunks of mango, cubes of honeydew, pearls of soft sago, mango puree and a scoop of vanilla ice cream summed up the delicious and fruity dessert. It’s a fairly classic dessert and this version is quite lovely for a light ending.

If you prefer lots of choices, head over to Chatz Brasserie for a Mother’s Day Brunch on Mother’s Day, with your dearest family. Dine to a delicious spread of local and international cuisine from 12:30 pm to 4 pm.
